About Apurva D Shah, MD

Dr Shah was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts but spent his formative years in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology, with highest honors and a BS in Chemical Engineering. He completed his medical school training at the Chicago Medical School and also completed his internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. His cardiology fellowship was performed at the University of Medicine and Dentistry/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. During that training, he also spent time at the Deborah Heart and Lung Transplant Center. He moved from the Northeast to Atlanta, Georgia in 2005.
